Ederly Eye Care

Eligible elders aged 65 and above can use health care vouchers for optometry services, up to a maximum of $2,000 every two years.

The procedure is very simple. Elderly people only need to go to the store with a valid Hong Kong identity card or registration exemption certificate to use the health care voucher. Optometrists will examine the elderly’s eyes and evaluate their eye conditions. Based on their vision needs, they will recommend whether they need glasses or contact lenses, or other eye care.

Only after the examination can the elderly use the medical vouchers in their eHealth (subsidy) account to pay for related fitting services.
